In every sport, the relationship between the coach and the athlete is fundamental for the positive development of skills and performance. In swimming, this relationship can deteriorate when performances are unsatisfactory, despite the focus and commitment.
This summer after 7 years, 4 in college and 3 as a professional swimmer, I decided to leave the guidance of my former Coach Gregg Troy, to whom I will be forever grateful.
I am joining some of my former college coaches, Olympian and Head Coach of the Florida Gators Anthony Nesty and his Assistant Head Coach Stephen Jungbluth.
This change will certainly help me maintain the highest level of motivation and the drive needed to improve.
It’s a privilege to swim under the supervision of Anthony Nesty and Stephen Jungbluth.
A special thought of gratitude and appreciation goes to Dr. Erva Gilliam – UF Director of Swimming Operations.
Thanks to all of you!
