16 FLORIDA GATOR SWIMMERS QUALIFY FOR OLYMPICS
Four Gators will represent the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio: Elizabeth Beisel, Caeleb Dressel, Ryan Lochte and Conor Dwyer.
Twelve Gators will represent 11 different countries with their own national team: Mitch D’Arrigo (Italy), Hilda Luthersdottir (Iceland), Corey Main (New Zealand), Sebastien Rousseau (South Africa), Eduardo Solaeche-Gomez (Spain), Dan Wallace (Great Britain), Jan Switkowski (Poland), Pawel Werner (Poland), Melani Costa (Spain), Rex Tullius (US Virgin Islands) and Omar Pinzon (Colombia).
The Olympics run from August 5-21. The swimming portion of the Games lasts a week, from August 6-13.
